Friday
A cloudy and increasingly breezy day across Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland. Outbreaks of rain will affect the northern half of the United Kingdom down into North Wales and the far North Midlands. The rain looks heaviest across Scotland. To the south it's a dry, bright day with a good deal of cloud but some breaks will give a few sunnier spells across southern England. Expect highs of 11 to 17C north to south.

Friday Night
Quite a windy evening and night, especially in the north and west. Gales will affect north western coasts. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will affect much of Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and the north of England during the evening and night. This will be heavy across western Scotland. For much of Wales and central and southern England it's mainly dry but cloudy though some patchy drizzle is possible across Wales. Expect lows generally down to 10 to 14C.

Saturday
. Another very windy day to come with gales in the west and gusts up to 80 mph around western coasts of Scotland. The northern half of the country to include Wales, northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland will be cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain. Some light rain too for Wales and south west England. To the south across central and southern England it will remain chiefly dry but rather cloudy. This evening the rain clears from the north and becomes light and patchy across southern England. Most places will be dry overnight, still windy but not as windy in the north. High temperatures of 10 to 17C.

Sunday
The far south of England along with south west England and southern Wales may see some patchy light rain throughout the day. A number of showers, some heavy will affect Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. Mainly dry in between with some brighter spells. It looks as though that rain in the south is expected to turn heavier as it moves north east into East Anglia this evening and tonight. Across Scotland and northern England expect some rain and this may become wintry over the Highlands. Expect tops of 9 to 15C.
