Monday
Scattered showers are forecast for western parts of Scotland through the day. Rather cloudy across central and southern parts of England this morning with some patchy bits of light rain that won't amount too much. Best of the sunshine will be across Wales, northern England and eastern Scotland. In the afternoon some rain will affect the far south of England with generally a good deal of cloud across southern Wales and southern England. Later this rain is expected to fizzle out. Sunny spells will prevail across northern England and North Wales. Expect highs of 11 to 17C north to south.

Monday Night
Quite cloudy across England and Wales and outbreaks of rain will push into south west England and western Wales this evening. Dry across Northern Ireland and Scotland. Overnight it remains dry across eastern and central parts of England along with south east Scotland. Rain is likely elsewhere and this becomes heavy across northern Scotland and Cornwall. Expect lows generally down to 5 to 9C but up to 12C in the south.

Tuesday
. An unsettled and damp day to come across all parts of the United Kingdom. Most places will have spells of rain, this heavy but will be lighter across East Anglia and south east England. In the afternoon the rain clears northern Scotland as it turns sunny. In the night a belt of rain will lie across northern England, the Midlands and Wales with a few showers across western Scotland. High temperatures of 11 to 19C.

Wednesday
Outbreaks of heavy rain are expected across Wales and central and southern parts of England through the day but how far north this extends is uncertain at this time. There is the potential for upwards of 40-50mm in places with Wales most favoured to see the heaviest rain at this time. Apart from a few showers across western Scotland, the rest of Britain may stay dry with sunny spells. This heavy rain may linger across Wales and the southern half of England right through the evening and night. Expect tops of 11 to 18C.
