Tuesday
A wet start to the morning for southern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland, some fairly heavy bursts of rain here at times. rain is going to be affecting parts of Wales and southwest England too, although generally lighter here but a few moderate bursts on western coasts. Across the rest of England it will be cloudy with an increasing breeze and just one or two spots of rain in the wind. Drier for the west and north of Scotland. This afternoon sees the rain band edging slowly south to be affecting much of northern England and the north and west of Wales, as well as the south and east of Ireland. A few heavy bursts in here with fog on the hills. The Midlands may stay largely dry, although patchy rain affects southern England too. Turning drier for Scotland, although a few showers in the north and west. Highs at a muggy 20C over drier parts of the eastern Midlands, 11C in northern Scotland.
Tuesday Night
Rain only slowly moves southwards through the night It will be heavy at times over Wales and the Midlands, as well as the south of northern England. Mainly dry in the far southeast and drier weather too for Northern Ireland, Scotland and much of northern England. A few showers may affect the far northwest of Scotland. It will be a cold night across northern England and much of central Ireland and Scotland with a touch of frost and lows of 1 or 2C. A milder night in the south of England at 15C.
Wednesday
A cloudy and wet morning across the southern half of England and Wales. This rain will probably last into the afternoon and it could be heavy at times with fog on the hills and coasts. Showers over northern and western Scotland. Elsewhere it should be dry, although it is always likely to be fairly cloudy with tops of a cold 9 to 11C in much of northern England and 17C in southeast England.
Thursday
Some remnants of rain across southeast England at first, but these will be clearing away, as will any drizzle over the high ground of Wales. The afternoon will be dry for most of England, Wales and Ireland as well as eastern Scotland. For the west of Scotland there will be some showers, although these should be well scattered. A cold day again with tops of 15C on southern coasts of England, 9C in northern Scotland.
