Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain across the far south and southeast of England today. Most of the rain is light, but it will become more persistent and heavier this afternoon as it tries to push back north again. Through the Midlands, Wales and East Anglia the day is going to be dry with good spells of sunshine, the best of this across northern England. To the north a few showers will be affecting the north and west of Scotland as well as the coasts of Northern Ireland. Most places will be dry though and there could be some bright or sunny spells in the east. A cooler day at 10C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Wednesday Night
The threat of some heavy rain in the far southeast of England through this evening. This is going to be clearing away and then the night becomes dry through the early hours. Across most of the rest of England and Wales as well as southern Scotland will be dry with clear spells and light winds. Thicker cloud for Scotland with some showers or longer periods of rain across northern and western Scotland. Lows to 3 or 4C with a slight ground frost over northern England and the Midlands as well as central Scotland. Mainly 6 or 7C on the coasts.

Thursday
There may be some mist and fog patches around on Thursday morning, most of these for Ireland, Wales and the north of England and Scotland. These should be clearing away quickly and then the day is going to be fair with sunny spells. The best of the sunshine through more western parts of the country, and dry for all. A cold day with highs of 9C in northern Scotland, 14C in southern England.

Friday
A dry start to the day for much of the country. Cloud is going to be thickening from the west, although there will be some hazy sunshine to the east. Further west as the cloud and rain arrives the winds are going to increase further and there is a chance of some gales through Ireland and western Scotland. Tops of 10 to 14C.
