Friday
For the Midlands and eastern parts of England it's a dry, bright morning with cloud increasing from the west. Windier in the west and here outbreaks of rain are expected and rain too to come for much of Scotland. In the afternoon the rain turns heavier across western parts of the United Kingdom and generally it becomes more persistent in most parts of the country. Lots mist is likely over the hills. Expect highs of 9 to 16C north to south.

Friday Night
It dries up except for a few showers across Wales and south west England this evening as the rain lingers across the rest of Britain. Tonight the last of the rain is expected to clear away from eastern parts of England and Scotland. Most places will have a dry night with clear spells. Expect lows generally down to 8 to 12C.

Saturday
. Dry across Britain this morning with some sunshine, but generally a lot of cloud, especially in the east. In the afternoon an area of rain is expected across Northern Ireland and later some of this may edge into Cornwall. The bulk of the country stays dry and bright with varying cloud. In the evening we may see this area of rain side sown into southern Wales and south west England and then across the far south of England overnight though confidence in the detail is quite low at the minute. High temperatures of 11 to 18C.

Sunday
Some patchy rain across northern Scotland will generally die away through the day. Any light rain near the channel coast is expected to clear leaving most parts of the United Kingdom with a fair, dry day with sunnier spells and occasional cloud. A dry evening and night for much of Britain with clear spells allowing some mist and fog to form before morning. Expect tops of 11 to 19C.
