Friday
Scattered showers are expected across western parts of Scotland, England and Wales this morning. The rest of the United Kingdom looks fair and dry with some cloud and some bright or sunnier spells. In the afternoon the showers are likely to develop more widely across all but East Anglia and the south east where the best of the sunshine should be and some rain moves into the West Country. Expect highs of 12 to 16C.
Friday Night
The rain turns heavier across the south west of England this evening with most of Britain having a dry evening with well broken cloud. Then over the rain in the south west is forecast to sweep up into all but the north of Scotland and will be heavy across Wales and the south west. Windy in the west with lows generally down to 8 to 14C north to south.
Saturday
Quite a windy day across the United Kingdom. Outbreaks of heavy rain clear much of England and Wales by the end of the morning but lingers across Scotland and Northern Ireland into the afternoon. So a fine afternoon across England and Wales as the last of the rain soon clears easternmost parts of England. Gales will affect western coasts today. This evening rain persists across Scotland and tracks back south into northern England overnight. High temperatures of 12 to 18C.
Sunday
Still very windy across the northern half of Brian especially. For Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England expect quite a lot of cloud and occasional shower with rain for northern Scotland. For central and southern England and Wales it's a dry bright day with sunnier spells. Tonight any rain will be confined to northern Scotland with the remainder of the United Kingdom dry with clear spells. Expect tops of 11 to 16C.
