Saturday
A wet start to the day across much of Ireland, Wales and the south of England. The rain is going to become heavy at times and it will become increasingly windy too. Through the morning the rain is going to be tracking northwards and will be through North Ireland and into central and northern England by mid-morning. Drier and brighter weather spreads to Wales and southwest England, although the winds pick up here to be near gale force in the west. Through the afternoon the rain tracks through Scotland, bringing yet more heavy rain to already sodden ground, especially in the east. Drier elsewhere, with just a passing shower. becoming very windy with gusts to 70mph over Ireland, southern Scotland and northern England. Highs will be near a mild 18C in the southeast, 10C in northern Scotland.

Saturday Night
A band of rain persists through Northern Ireland and southern Scotland on Saturday night, this spreading to northwest England too. For most of the rest of England and Wales the night should be dry, a few clear spells towards the south. A dry night for the north of Scotland. It will be very windy everywhere with gales in exposed paces and those winds again to 70mph across Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland.

Sunday
Still rain affects central and northern Scotland today, a few heavy bursts in there as well, and the severe gale force winds persisting here too. Staying windy across northern England, Wales and Ireland, although these winds starting to ease by the evening. There will be a few showers on western coasts, but for much of the rest of England and Wales a dry and bright day is on the cards with good spells of sunshine. Highs will be near 11C in northern Scotland, 16C in southern England.

Monday
A ridge of high pressure is going to be building from the west during today and this is going to be bringing a fine day with good spells of sunshine, after morning mist and fog patches have cleared. Northern and eastern Scotland may still have some rain around, although this is likely to be clearing by the evening. Thicker cloud reaching the far southwest of England and Ireland later in the day. Winds will be much lighter everywhere. Highs at a cool 9C in northern Scotland, a respectable 15C in southern England.
