Tuesday
Misty, murky and windy across Britain this morning with winds at gale force around western coasts. Persistent and heavy rain is expected across Scotland. Drizzle and light rain across England and Wales will retreat northward later this morning as it brightens up in the south. By the afternoon any rain will be found across Scotland and Northern Ireland but it won't be as heavy. Some low cloud and mist may linger around Irish Sea coasts and western Cornwall. In the south expect some sunshine. A mild afternoon with highs of 13 to 18C.

Tuesday Night
During the evening heavier rain is expected across Northern Ireland, northern and western parts of Scotland, England and Wales while the east remains dry but cloudy. Overnight the rain gradually moves into all but the East Midlands, East Anglia and the south east as gales continue in the north and west. Expect lows down to 10 to 15C.

Wednesday
Patchy outbreaks of rain across eastern and central parts of England will soon clear away as it turns dry and sunnier this morning. Apart from some light rain in the far north of Scotland. It looks dry and unseasonably warm with good sunny spells for most places. Much of the country stays fine and dry this evening with clear spells then some light rain comes in across northern Scotland and Northern Ireland tonight. A breezy day but windy in the north with high temperatures of 15 to 20C north to south.

Thursday
Another windy day, especially in the north and west. For Scotland and Northern Ireland a front will keep it quite damp with spells of rain. England and Wales will be fair, dry, bright and warm with above normal temperatures. Through the evening and night we are likely to see the rain pep up and this is expected to linger across Scotland and Northern Ireland, perhaps edging into Cumbria later. Expect highs of 15 to 20C.
