Heavy showers Unsettled and chilly seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Quite a windy day to come across the United Kingdom, more so in the morning than the afternoon. We expect eastern parts of England and Scotland to start wet with heavy rain but this soon clears. Elsewhere it's a day of sunshine and showers, these showers becoming frequent and heavy with a risk of thunder or hail. Fewer showers though in the far east of Britain. A chilly day with highs of 9 to 13C and feeling colder in that brisk wind.

Tuesday Night
During the evening and night it stays quite breezy and this will keep any frost at bay. In the west we are likely to see further heavy showers at times. For central and eastern areas though it's a dry evening and night with clear spells. Expect lows down to 5 to 9C.

Wednesday
A breezy, unsettled day to come across all western parts of the United Kingdom with a number of heavy showers that may be accompanied by thunder and hail. These will be interspersed with some sunshine at times. Most central and eastern parts of England will be dry in the main with the best of the sunshine and perhaps just the odd light shower. Again overnight we keep some heavy showers around western areas with the bulk of Britain dry with clear spells. This will allow a frost to develop across central Scotland. Expect highs of 8 to 12C.

Thursday
Increasingly breezy in the west today. Outbreaks of rain across Wales is forecast to spread down into south west England but this may remain in the form of showers. Western Scotland and western England will continue to see some heavy showers but in the east it looks to remain fair, dry and bright. Some heavy showers too are expected across Northern Ireland. By the night and showers will be found in the south west with the bulk of the United Kingdom dry with clear spells. Again Scotland will see a frost. Expect highs of 8 to 12C.
