Wednesday
A cold and breezy start to the morning across the southern half of the country. Showers are going to be affecting western coasts, a few of them heavy in places. Further showers may affect southern coasts of England. For most though the morning is going to be dry with sunny spells and well broken cloud. The afternoon sees little change for most places being chilly, and a brisk westerly wind affecting England, Wales and Ireland. There will be showers once again on western coasts, a few of them blowing inland. later in the afternoon an area of more persistent rain could spread through Northern Ireland. Highs at 12C along southern coasts of England, just 7C in northern Scotland.
Wednesday Night
Low pressure drifts into Scotland tonight and so the weather is set to be staying unsettled. There will be some showers in western parts once again, and these may merge into longer periods of rain from time to time. Drier weather through more central and eastern areas with clearer skies. As the winds fall lighter there may be some fog forming across central Scotland. Lows at 0C in central Scotland, nearer 5 to 7C for most other places.
Thursday
Another cool day to come on Thursday. There will be some showers through the morning, the focus for them tending to be to the west. There will be some sunny spells around through many places, the best of these in central and eastern areas. The afternoon sees little change with the showers continuing in the west. A few of them are going to be heavy at times. To the east skies remaining brighter, although even here there could still be an odd shower. Highs at 9 to 13C.
Friday
Friday starts off dry across most of the country, with an early frost in Scotland and northern England. Cloud is going to be increasing quite quickly from the west with rain in Ireland through the morning, this spreading to western Wales, southwest England and western Scotland by midday. The rain then edges eastwards into northern England, the Midlands and through southwest England in the afternoon. Staying dry in the far east. Highs of 7 to 11C.
