Damp, dreary and cold Rain in west tomorrow seiten=4 abk=focus
Tuesday
A damp and dreary day is on the cards for much of England, Wales and eastern Scotland. An old occluded front is lying north to south through the country and although breaking up, it is going to be bringing outbreaks of drizzle and patchy rain throughout the day. There could be some fog on the hills too and it will be feeling cold. The chance of some brightness in east Anglia for a time. Drier weather is going to be affecting Ireland and western Scotland, the sun coming through here. This afternoon sees little change with much of southern, central and northeastern England being cloudy with some outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Graduall western Wales and the far southwest of England should become brighter, and it will be turning drier through western Scortland and Ireland with sunny spells too. Highs of 5 or 6C in Scotland, 7 or 8C in England and Wales, perhaps 9 or 10C in the sunshine through Northern Ireland.
Tuesday Night
There are some hints that the rain could briefly become more persistent across southeast England for a time this evening. It then very slowly clears into the continent, although ti could trouble the far southeast until morning. For most it becomes a misty night with broken cloud. Clearer skies across ireland, Scotland, Wales and the west of England will allow temperatures to fall and a slight frost to form. Lows of 0C in Scotland, around 5C in the cloudier parts of southeast England.
Wednesday
Mist and fog patcehs across many parts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on Wednesday morning. Thiese are going to be clearing away steadily, and then many areas will be dry. A band of cloud and increasing winds will be spreading to southern Ireland, Wales and southwest England through the morning. This area of cloud and rain makes its way streadily northeastwards through Ireland and then Wales, as well as the rest of southwest England in the afternoon. Drier throughout for East Anglia, northern England and most of southern Scotland. Just a low risk of some cloud and drizzle affecting northeast Scotland. Highs near 5C in central Scotland, 14C in the far southwest of England.
Thursday
After a wet night, much of Thursday morning is expected to be dry with some sunny spells breaking through any cloud. There could be some rain for the far north of Scotland, this tending to be light and patchy. However, a further area of rain will pass through Ireland and into Wales and the west of England with the winds increasing. By the afternoon this heavier rain will be into western Scotland, northwest England, Wales and Ireland. Eastern Scotland and the far east of England sould be stayig dry. Highs at 9 to 14C.
