Thursday
Low pressure is going to be staying to the north of Scotland through Thursday. This is going to be bringing a cold day to all parts of the country. There will be showers, most of these in the west, and some of them are going to be heavy at times. The showers merging to longer spells of rain through the day. Southern coasts of England are alsom at risk of some heavy showers. More inland areas of England, eastern Wales and eastern Scotland will be drier with some sunny spells through the day. Winds remain at gale force on western coasts with temperatures at 6 to 10C.
Thursday Night
Through tonight it is going to be staying breezy. There will be further showers around, especially in the west and south where a few of them could be heavy at times. Inland areas, and the east of the country should be staying dry. Skies are going to be clear here. A nippy night under the clearer skies with lows of 2C away from western and southern coasts by the morning, holding closer to 4 or 5C where the wind is strongest.
Friday
Once again on Friday low pressure is going to be in control of the weather. The area of low pressure will be centred over the north of Scotland. Showers are going to be affecting western and southern coasts, a few of them heavy but probably not as widespread as previous days. It will be breezy too. More eastern areas stay drier with clearer skies and some sunny spells. Temperatures rising to around 2C in central Scotland, 8C on southern coasts.
Saturday
An area of stronger winds and heavy rain tracks east overnight into Saturday across England and Wales. This clears from the west with drier weather following. There will be a mix of sunny spells and showers in the west for most of the day. Drier across Scotland and northern England as well as Northern Ireland but feeling cold here. Highs at 3 to 7C.
