Monday
A windy, increasingly cold day across the country. Lots of cloud too across Britain with patchy light rain, mixed with some sleety snow flurries. Best of the dry weather and sunshine will be across western Scotland and Northern Ireland. Most places will then be dry for the afternoon with more in the way of sunshine developing. Feeling raw in the strong north winds with highs of 3 to 9C north to south.

Monday Night
It becomes less breezy during this evening. Still a few showers will be found near the North Sea coasts through the night. Otherwise it's a dry evening and skies will generally be clearing. This will lead to a very cold night as the winds fall light. A widespread frost will develop becoming quite hard in the north as temperatures drop below freezing inmost places. Lows of 0 to -5C.

Tuesday
So a cold, frosty start to the morning with mostly sunny skies. During the morning cloud will increase across the western half of Britain. This will spread outbreaks in across Northern Ireland later this morning and this area of then moves into all but the extreme eastern parts of England and Scotland through the afternoon and will be preceded by snow over the Pennines and the high ground of Scotland. A wet and increasingly mild evening across much of Britain with rain, heavy in places though snow will fall across the Highlands of Scotland. Highs of just 3 to 8C.

Wednesday

A cloudy, dull day as well with sporadic outbreaks of rain and drizzle, this heavier in the morning in the south east of England. In the west and the south of England the rain clears to some heavy afternoon showers. Some rain and showers will affect the south east of England and northern Scotland in the night.
