Mainly fair & cold Snow showers from some seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
A bitterly cold day to come, especially across the south of the country. There will be some good spells of sunshine across much of England and Wales, although thicker cloud for southern Ireland and the far southwest of England brings the risk of some patchy rain. Some more persistent sleet and rain will affect northeast Scotland, turning to snow as it moves inland in the afternoon. Further snow showers affecting the eastern coasts of England. Staying dry inland with more sunshine through the day. Highs of -1C in central Scotland, 4C in the far southwest of England.

Sunday Night
More snow showers drifting south across northern and eastern Scotland through tonight. These snow showers affecting the northeast of England and the coasts of East Anglia too. Further west and south the skies will be staying clear and the winds should be easing for all but the most southern counties. Thicker cloud across the far southwest of England. A widespread and severe frost with temperatures as low as -12C in the southern Uplands, more generally -3 to -5C but holding to 0C in the far southwest of Cornwall.

Monday
A cold day across the whole of the country once again. There will be a severe frost to start to the day as well as good spells of sunshine. Cloud tending to increase in the north through the afternoon. Thicker cloud and some periods of snow reaching northern Scotland, this slipping south in the afternoon and bringing blizzards to the Highlands and Grampians. A few showers for the coasts of East Anglia and again over northern parts of Wales. Highs near a bitterly cold -1 to 3C.

Tuesday
The risk of more significant outbreaks of snow through today. Bands of snow will be sinking southwards through Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland in the morning. This area then shifting south for the afternoon bringing the chance of blizzards over the Pennines and hills of Wales. Drier weather follows with sunny spells, but then heavy showers returning to northern and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Staying generally dry in southern England and perhaps milder here. Highs near 4C in the southwest, -1C in northern Scotland.
