Snow spreading west Heavy snow Tuesday seiten=4 abk=focus
Sunday
For England, Wales and Northern Ireland it's a cloudy day with sporadic outbreaks of snow. Much of it should be light but locally some accumulations are possible, perhaps 2-5cm over the hills. This will be accompanied by a cutting, north east wind making it feel bitterly cold. Apart from a few snow showers in the south east, much of Scotland looks mainly dry with sunny spells. Expect highs of 0 to 3C but feeling well below zero in the wind.
Sunday Night
Further outbreaks of snow are expected right though the evening and night across England, Wales and also for southern Scotland. Most places will see at least a covering with locally over 5cm in some places. This most likely across north east Wales and northern England. Lows down to 0 to -4C.
Monday
The winds diminish today but we keep a good deal of cloud and further outbreaks of snow across much of the United Kingdom. Again much of it looks on the light side but some moderate bursts will give a further few centimetres just about anywhere with more over high ground. Perhaps south west England escapes with a dry day. It becomes windy in the west tonight and rain edges into Cornwall. More snow to come for most other areas which may be heavy across Scotland. Highs of 0 to 3C.
Tuesday
Today an area of rain tries to move in from the west along with somewhat milder conditions but as it tracks inland, we may see an area of heavy snow developing across Wales, northern England and Scotland though this is problematic at the moment. Heavy accumulations are possible right through the evening and night across these areas with rain likely in the south west and across Northern Ireland. Highs of 0 to 4C.
