Snow in north Feeling less cold seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
We lose that biting east wind today. Lots of cloud across Britain this morning with some patchy bits of light snow or snow flurries here and there. This looks heavier across south west Scotland. Lots of dry weather about for the afternoon but we keep a lot of cloud. Just some patchy light snow will be across parts of Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 0 to 3C but up to 5C near some western coasts.
Monday Night
Very little change to come for this evening and tonight. Most parts of the United Kingdom will be cloudy with a few light snow flurries though the snow across northern parts of Scotland could turn more heavy. Lows down to 1 to -3C with a frost and icy stretches on untreated surfaces.
Tuesday
Again a rather cloudy, wintry day to come across Britain with some patchy bits of snow or snow flurries mainly across Scotland and northern England. To the south it looks dry but an area of rain will push into south west England and Northern Ireland. The winds will become the feature today with gales developing in the west with gusts to 60 mph around the coasts. As this rain tries to push east, there is a risk of some heavy snow developing across Wales and over Dartmoor, Somerset and Dorset in the evening and night. Those gusty winds drop out by tonight. Highs of 0 to 3C.
Wednesday
Today we expect an area of possibly heavy snow across Wales, north west England and Scotland. Some rain to come across Northern Ireland but largely dry today across eastern parts of England and Scotland. Confidence is low in the forecast for today but some light snow may move into central parts of England and Northern Ireland in the night. Highs of 0 to 4C but a milder 10C across Cornwall.
