Sunday Night

Monday
It could be quite a dull, drizzly morning for many parts of Wales and the Midlands, this area of drizzle and low cloud drifting north through northern England during the day. Scotland looks to be wet and cloudy through central and southern areas, this rain persisting for much of the day here. The north of Scotland should be drier with some sunshine. In the afternoon the rain becomes confined to central Scotland with many other parts of the country cloudy although generally dry. Highs at 4 to 9C.

Tuesday
A heavier band of rain passes east through Monday night, bringing strong southeast winds with it. As this area of rain reaches eastern England and eastern Scotland through Tuesday it will be coming up against much colder air. This could cause it to turn to sleet and then snow. There is the threat of a period of snow through eastern Scotland, northeast England, East Anglia and southeast England on Tuesday with rain to the west. It is unclear exactly where the snow will fall and so you are advised to monitor the forecast for Tuesday very carefully. High temperatures at 1C in eastern Scotland, 10C in southwest England.
