Colder and cloudy Mainly dry seiten=4 abk=focus

Saturday
Quite a dull, grey and misty morning across England and Wales but mainly dry except for some rain in the far east of East Anglia and Kent but this soon clears away. Some dense fog patches too across parts of Wales and south west England may take some time to lift. Not much sun around this afternoon just a few fleeting moments in the west. In the afternoon some rain pushes back into eastern parts of Scotland and north east England, perhaps with some snow over the Highlands. Highs of 5 to 10C but feeling colder with a developing north east wind in the east.

Saturday Night
In the evening and area of moderate rain will affect central and eastern Scotland with some snow above 300 metres. The rest of Britain will be essentially dry but with lots of cloud. Then overnight the rain and snow spreads across much of Scotland with some snow over the northern Pennies as well. Lower down it stays as sleety rain. For Wales, Northern Ireland and the rest of England it will be a dry cold night with a frost and some dense fog developing inland. Expect lows of 0 to 3C.

Sunday
Still some rain, sleet and snow across Scotland and northern England before it dries and brightens up in the west in the afternoon. A dry day on the whole for England and Wales but later in the afternoon some rain edges into south west England, western Wales and Northern Ireland. This moves into much of Wales and the West country in the evening with some sleet and snow possible near eastern parts of Scotland. Highs of 3 to 9C.

Monday
Generally quite a cloudy but dry and cold day to come across Britain. Just a few wintry showers are possible around the North Sea coasts of England and Scotland. A few sunnier spells may develop in the west but these may be very limited. Rain spreads into Scotland and Northern Ireland in the night and may be preceded by freezing rain across Scotland for a time. Look for top temperatures of 3 to 5C.
