Becoming cold Frosts, snow showers developing seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
Most of the United Kingdom will be cloudy this morning and there will be some patchy bits of rain and drizzle across much of England and eastern Scotland. This may be mixed with some patchy snow over high ground. Sunnier across western Scotland. Most of the patchy rain and drizzle should fade during the course of the afternoon. Still quite cloudy for most areas with the best of any sunshine likely across Cornwall and western Wales along with western parts of Scotland. Highs of 3 to 6C.
Monday Night
This evening any residual patchy bits of drizzle across eastern parts of England should clear. We keep a good deal of cloud but overall it's dry for much of the United Kingdom. Overnight we should see some cloud breaks allowing a widespread frost to develop by morning. A very cold night ahead with minimums of -1 to -5C.
Tuesday
Some light rain to come in the far north of Scotland today. Breezy in the south of England and this will keep a good deal of cloud coming and going across England and Wales. Best of the sunshine again in the west. A fine, dry day across Northern Ireland with sunny spells. It becomes milder in the north tonight as rain spreads into Northern Ireland and Scotland. Still very cold in the south with a frost likely as the winds drop. Highs of 2 to 4C.
Wednesday
A brisk north west winds develops today as cloud and light rain in the north spreads south during the day into most places. Much of this will be quite light with a risk of some light snow over the hills. This clears Scotland by the afternoon as it turns dry and sunnier. A much milder day but still cold in the south east. As rain clears the south, it turns very cold again as snow showers develop around western and eastern coasts. A frost develops in sheltered areas as it stays quite breezy. Look for top temperatures of 5 to 10C but just 2 or 3C in the south east.
