Sunday
Sleet and snow showers are expected across Wales this morning with snow showers for Northern Ireland and northern Scotland. Rains showers will fall in south west England while the rest of Britain is dry and sunny but frosty to start. In the afternoon snow showers will affect western and eastern coasts along with the north coasts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. Central areas will remain dry and sunny. Highs of 3 to 7C.
Sunday Night
Through the course of the evening and night there remains the risk of snow showers around western and eastern coasts of Scotland, England and west Wales but should become fewer in the night. For most inland areas it will be a dry cold evening and night with frost developing becoming widespread and sharp overnight. Expect minimums of -1 to -5C.
Monday
An area or rain across Northern Ireland and south west England in the morning moves into Wales then into central England during the course of the afternoon and will be more of snow across Scotland and the hills of northern England. Some heavy fall are expected across Scotland. The rest of Britain looks dry. Rain then spread eastward into most parts of Britain during the evening and night but with snow still across northern Scotland. Highs of 3 to 7C.
Tuesday
For England and Wales a somewhat milder but wet day to come with outbreaks of rain. This will be heavy by the afternoon. To the north a drier brighter day but with a few wintry showers across Scotland. An area of rain then rain and snow clears from central and southern England in the evening leading to a dry, cold and frosty night for much of Britain. Widespread icy conditions will develop by morning along with a widespread and sharp frost. Look for top temperatures of 3 to 8C.
