Monday
Across Northern Ireland expect a cloudy with outbreaks of rain which turn heavier for the afternoon. As this moves into Scotland and the high ground of northern in the afternoon some snow is likely above 200 metres. For Wales along with central and southern England it's an essentially dry, bright day with more in the way of sunshine developing in many areas. A brisk north west wind will make it feel quite cold with highs of 3 to 7C.
Monday Night
For the Midlands, East Anglia and the south east it stays dry into the evening before the rain across the rest of Britain spill south during the night and may be mixed with sleet and snow, especially over high ground. This rain will be heaviest across Wales and south west England with light snow for Scotland. Expect minimums of 2 to 5C.
Tuesday
Quite a wet morning for England and Wales with heavy rain clearing from the west. This doesn't clear the south east until the first part of the afternoon as it turns dry, cold and sunnier. On the back edge of this rain, snow may develop for a time as it moves away. A few snow showers to come across Scotland. In the evening there may be some rain, sleet and snow in the far south of England which clears in the night as a widespread and sharp frost develops. Highs of 3 to 7C.
Wednesday
A very cold day across the United Kingdom with sleety rain across south west England and a risk of some snow for Wales. Apart from a few snow showers for northern Scotland the remainder of Britain looks dry with lots of crisp, wintry sunshine. As rain tries to move in from the west tonight, there is a risk of snow across parts of Wales and north west England. Widespread icy conditions will develop by morning along with a widespread and sharp frost. Look for top temperatures of 2 to 4C.
