A rather cloudy start to the day over most of the country. There will be some hazy spells of sunshine through more eastern areas. Estern parts will have thicker cloud and this will give a few spots of drizzle for western Scotland and Ireland. The afternoon sees little change with hazy sunshine across many central and eastern areas, but thicker cloud to the west bringing further periods of drizzle in western Scotland and Ireland. An increasing east to northeast wind with highs of 8C in southern England and 5C in central Scotland..

Wednesday Night
A dry night to come with quite a bit of cloud still aorund. It will be quite a breezy night across southern parts of the country and will stay dry too. The cloud may break over the north of the country and those clear skies will allow temperatures to fall sharply. Temperatures down to -7C over central parts of Scotland, around 0C in southern England.

Thursday
A cold start to the day with a brisk east wind in the south. There will be plenty of cloud around, just one or two sunny spells coming through. The best of the sunshine across northern parts of the country, especially over Scotland. The afternoon stays dry with more spells of sunshine. The cloud in the south will be breaking further with sunny spells coming through and the winds easing. Highs near 4 to 7C.

Friday
A fair day with sunny spells across most of the country. The best of the sunshine will be through more western and southern areas. Staying fair here into the afternoon. More northern and eastern parts will have some cluod and there is the threat of some spots of rain and sleet here as well. Highs near a milder 7 to 9C.
