Friday
A fine start to the day for much of Wales and the southern half of England. Plenty of sunshine here with a sharp morning frost. There will be increasing cloud in the afternoon, but still dry with sunny spells. Across more northern and eastern areas cloud is going to be thickening through the morning, this bringing some outbreaks of rain through eastern parts of Scotland and some of this rain drifting onto the coasts of northeast England in the afternoon. More western areas should be staying dry throughout. Breezy in northeast Scotland in a fresh northwest wind. Highs around 7C in northern Scotland, 10C in southwest England.
Friday Night
Variable amounts of cloud through the night, but for most of the country it should stay dry. The best of any clear skies will tend to be through more western and southern areas of England, Wales and Ireland. For northern and eastern coasts of Scotland, as well as eastern England there could be a few spots of rain, most of this light. Temperatures will be falling to around freezing for many of us, with lows at 3C in northwestern England, but holding just above freezing on the coasts, although nearer 5C in northern Scotland.
Saturday
Cloud and some outbreaks of light rain across northeast England and East Anglia, this slowly pushing westwards into the Midlands, but weakening as it does so with the cloud breaking. Coasts of Scotland will again be rather cloudy and damp with some spots of drizzle at times. Wales and much of western England and Ireland will be fair with good spells of sunshine here and it should be feeling pleasant in the sunshine too. Highs near 7 to 9C after a widespread frost overnight.
Sunday
Another sharp frost into Sunday morning. A few morning mist and fog patches in more sheltered areas, but then these clearing and all parts of the country bare then going to be fair with plenty of sunshine, and should be remaining dry throughout too. Some cloud around western and northern coasts of Scotland. Highs at 6 to 8C.
