Light rain clearing Best weekend weather in south seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
For much of the United Kingdom it's a rather cloudy morning and there will be some sporadic outbreaks of mainly very light and patchy rain here and there though probably staying completely dry across south west England. In the afternoon Wales, Northern Ireland and western parts of England and Scotland are likely to be dry with some sunshine tending to break through while in the east it's to stay essentially cloudy with some pockets of light rain. Highs of 6 to 9C but feeling chilly in a brisk north wind.
Friday Night
During the evening the cloud and patchy bits of rain across East Anglia and the south east of England should clear away. Overnight some light rain moves into northern Scotland but for the bulk of the United Kingdom it looks dry with variable amounts of cloud and clear spells. As the winds fall light, a frost is likely to develop across much of inland Britain. Lows down to 2 to -3C.
Saturday
For much of northern Britain today looks rather disappointingly cloudy. Not much rain around, just some patchy bits here and there and in the afternoon some may also affect the Pennines. For Wales and central and southern England it's a dry day with the best of the sunshine in the south. Quite a bit of cloud across the country throughout the night with some rain for northern Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland. Some drizzle may be found over high ground in the south. Look for top temperatures of 7 to 11C north to south.
Sunday
Light rain across Scotland this morning will turn heavier in the north in the afternoon. Northern England and Northern Ireland looks cloudy with patchy light rain tending to fade through the day. For Wales and the rest of England it should be dry on the whole but sunshine may be rather limited. Tonight the rain turns heavy across all of Scotland and Northern Ireland moving into northern England while the south stays dry. Look for top temperatures of 8 to 11C.
