Patchy rain fading Continued mild seiten=4 abk=focus

Wednesday
Best of the sunshine this morning will be across some parts of eastern England and Scotland. Elsewhere a lot of cloud to come with a bit of patchy light rain for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In the afternoon any rain will be confined mainly to the north of Scotland where it turns heavier. Dry for the rest of Britain with a good deal of cloud but some breaks will allow a few sunnier spells through as well. By the end of the afternoon more in the way of sunshine will develop across central England. Breezy and mild today with highs of 10 to 15C.

Wednesday Night
The rain across the north of Scotland spreads into the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland in the night. For England and Wales it will remain dry for the evening and night with lots of cloud developing but this will give all parts a mild night with lows of 7 to 9C. Quite windy in the north and west.

Thursday
A windy day especially in the west with gales developing around exposed coasts. Outbreaks of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland and south west England are expected to spread all but the far east of East Anglia and south east England during the afternoon. This will be heavy in the west. Most places will have a wet and windy evening and night though the rain becomes lighter in the night and it dries up across south west England and Northern Ireland before morning. Look for top temperatures of 9 to 16C north to south.

Friday
The winds moderate and any residual light rain in the far east should soon clear away. Apart from a few showers for northern Scotland most of Britain looks mainly dry today with variable cloud and sunnier spells though by the end of the afternoon some rain may show up across Cornwall. Outbreaks of heavier rain in the south west will spread into Wales this evening then up into much of England during the night. Dry to the north. Look for top temperatures of 9 to 15C.
