Thursday
Today a deep area of low pressure and a front bring wind and rain to Britain. A windy day especially in the west with gales developing around exposed coasts. A dry, bright morning across central and eastern areas of Britain. Outbreaks of rain across Scotland, Northern Ireland and south west England are expected to spread all but the far east of East Anglia and south east England during the afternoon. This will be heavy in the west. highs of 10 to 15C.
Thursday Night
The heavier rain is expected across Scotland and northern England this evening with light rain in the south and drier conditions coming into the west. The rain has cleared all areas by tonight with a few showers for northern Scotland where gales will persist. Expect lows of 5 to 9C.
Friday
Strong gales will persist across the north of Scotland and Shetland with gusts to 70 mph. Dry and bright this morning for most areas with some sunshine though showers will continued in the north of Scotland. In the afternoon rain spreads into south west England and South Wales. The remainder of the United Kingdom looks fine and dry with best of the sunshine in the east. Heavy spells of rain then sweep north east across all of the United Kingdom during the evening and night. Look for top temperatures of 9 to 15C north to south.
Saturday
Much of Saturday is looking cloudy and damp with outbreaks of rain. This looks heaviest across Scotland and later the far south of England. The rain tends to linger through the evening and night but does become lighter with some drier weather coming into southern parts of England. Look for top temperatures of 9 to 15C.
