Plenty of sunshine Very windy in Scotland seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
A fair start to the day for much of the country. There will be good spells of sunshine around, although early cloud could affect the far southeast of England. A windy morning across Scotland where winds may well be reaching 90mph in gusts across the north, with some outbreaks of rain along northern coasts too. Those winds should be easing off in the afternoon, although still blowing at gale force for northern Scotland. Elsewhere there will be very little change with more sunny spells to come and dry weather throughout. Cloud is going to be increasing across southern counties of England, Wales and Ireland , making the sunshine hazy and bringing rain to these areas by late afternoon. Highs near 10C in northern Scotland, and a mild 16C in the sunny parts of central and southern England.
Friday Night
A wet and breezy night to come across England and Wales as well as Ireland, as an area of rain pushes northwards. This may turn heavy at times as it reaches northern England with some cloud shrouding the hills too. Scotland is likely to have a drier night with the cloud breaking as rain clears from the north. The winds easing too. Lows down to 0C over central Scotland, 12C in southern England.
Saturday
A wet morning to come through much of southern Ireland, Wales and England on Saturday, the most persistent of the rain across northern Wales and northern England. Following to the south will be showers, some of them heavy at times and these blowing north through the Midlands and East Anglia through the day. Plenty of cloud around throughout the day, although some breaks developing allowing a few sunny spells here and there. For most of Scotland the day should be dry with some sunny spells, although still some showers or rain for the far north of Scotland, Shetland and Orkney. Highs at 9C in northern Scotland, 14C if the sun does come through over southern England.
Sunday
Showers or outbreaks of rain may affect eastern England and Scotland at first, but these will be clearing quickly through the morning. The day is then going to be brighter with some reasonable spells of sunshine developing. A brisk southwest wind in the south. Rain and cloud moving into western Ireland in the afternoon, this then slipping eastwards through the later part of the afternoon and reaching eastern Ireland by evening. Highs at 10 to 14C.
