Some decent sunshine this morning across Northern Ireland and northern England. Elsewhere more in the way of cloud and late some rain reaches south western parts of England with a few showers across northern Scotland. In the afternoon the rain in the south west turns heavier and more persistent inching up across southern Wales and across areas south of the M4 corridor. Some light snow to come across the Highlands with a few showers across Scotland and northern England. Quite a windy day across Scotland and north east England and feeling cold in that strong north west wind. Expect highs of 8 to 12C.
Sunday Night
A wet evening and night across Wales and central and southern parts of England with outbreaks of locally heavy rain. From northern England into Scotland and Northern Ireland it looks mainly dry with clear spells and cold with a frost developing, especially for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Lows of 4 to 8C but down -2C in the north.
Monday
For much of today a band of heavy rain is expected across Wales and England and as it turns colder this is likely to change to snow across parts of northern England, especially the Pennines as the winds strengthen from the north east. Scattered wintry showers to come across Scotland. This evening and tonight as the rain begins to pull away to the east there is a risk of some snow across Wales, northern and central England. Expect for top temperatures of 8 to 11C.
Tuesday
A cold and breezy day across the United Kingdom. More rain to come across East Anglia and the south east of England through the day. There is a risk of snow or snow showers across Wales and northern and central England. Snow showers too will affect northern parts of Scotland. Apart from some now for the north of Scotland, it's basically a dry, clear an cold night with a widespread and sharp frost. Look for top temperatures of 3 to 7C with lows down to -5C.
