Monday
A miserable day to come across England and Wales as outbreaks if rain and drizzle in the south spread up across all areas. This will be very heavy in the south west, across Wales and later northern England. In the afternoon the heavy rain reaches southern Scotland and Northern Ireland with some snow for northern Scotland. It becomes windy as well with highs of 3 to 11C.

Monday Night
A wet evening and night across Wales and England with more rain to come but it should become lighter in the south. An area of moderate snow develops across Scotland and Northern Ireland with accumulations down to lower levels tonight. Lows of 4 to 8C but down -2C in the north.

Tuesday
A cold wind will be whipping around an area of deep low pressure over Britain with strong winds for Scotland, the west and the south west. As it does so it will be bringing much colder air south wit temporary blizzards in the north. Snow is forecast for Scotland and Northern Ireland and looks heavy. Rain across the Welsh hills will also be turning to snow. Elsewhere expect spells of rain. There is a risk of snow across much of Britain tonight with some accumulations possible even to lower levels with locally heavy falls over the high ground of the north. Expect for top temperatures of 3 to 10C.

Wednesday
Very windy, cold and wintry with strong winds affecting much of Britain giving local gales. There remains the risk of more snow and wintry showers across much of the United Kingdom today giving further accumulations but in the far south rain showers are likely. The snow showers become confined to the north during the evening and night. Look for top temperatures of 2 to 7C.
