A cloudy, windy morning with gales in the west. Still some snow to come this morning across Scotland but a much drier day for Northern Ireland. Rain across Wales and western parts of England will let up in the afternoon turning to occasional showers. Across the rest of England just a scattering of showers expected though the south east could see a heavier spell of rain. Expect highs of 3 to 9C.
Wednesday Night
We keep a lot of cloud through the evening and the night and those winds will remain quite strong. Just some scattered showers to come across England and Wales. Still some snow over the high ground of Scotland but nothing too heavy. A much colder night than of late with lows down to 0 to 3C.
Thursday
Still rather windy across Scotland today and here lots of cloud with scattered wintry type showers. A lot of dry weather to come for England and Wales this morning but there will be so showers across the south west and north west of England and North Wales. In the afternoon a few showers are possible just about anywhere with a few sunnier spells developing. More rain spills in across the West County and Wales overnight. Expect for top temperatures of 4 to 9C.
Friday
Windy again today across southern England as low pressure moves into the south west. A belt of heavy rain across Wales and southern England tracks into northern England in the afternoon and is replaced by heavy showers with a risk of scattered thunderstorms. A dry day across Scotland. The heavier rain pushes into Northern Ireland and Scotland in the evening with further showers in the south. Expect high temperatures of 5 to 9C.
