Fair for most Rain and wind in west seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
A fine start to the morning across most of England, eastern Wales and eastern Scotland. There will be some good spells of sunshine around, and with light winds it will be staying dry. Increasing cloud through Ireland, and the winds picking up too, will blow rain in from the west through the day. This rain turning more persistent in Ireland in the afternoon as the winds reach gale force. Outbreaks of rain for western Scotland and western Wales too, with gales in Scotland. For much of the rest of the country the day is going to be remaining dry. Increasing amounts of high cloud will be making the sunshine hazy with temperatures rising to 24C in the southeast, 15C in western Scotland.

Tuesday Night
A windy night ahead with those winds to gale force at times across Scotland, northern England, north Wales and Ireland. Bits of rain passing through northern England and Wales, but for most of the country it should be staying dry, although with increasing cloud. Lows near 9 to 13C.

Wednesday
A band of cloud and rain affecting parts of Wales, the Midlands and northern England through today, most of it over southwest facing hills and coasts. Drier weather across southern and southeastern parts of England with some sunny spells here, and muggy too. Windy through Scotland and Ireland , the threat of some showers in the far west. Little change through the day with highs of 24C in southeast England, a chillier 14C in western Scotland.

Thursday
The area of rain could persist through the far south of Ireland, Wales and into northern England today, some of it becoming heavy and thundery. For much of central and southern England it stays dry and becomes hot too with tops of 27C in London. Cooler and more showery in Scotland and Ireland, most of the showers in the west. Highs will be to 16C in western Scotland.
