Rain clearing east Fair in the west seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
Rain, some of it heavy over East Anglia and eastern parts of England. There is the risk of a few cracks of thunder too, but the rain should clear eastwards during the course of the morning. Drier to the north and west with some sunny spells, and then heavy showers spreading onto the west coasts of Scotland, Wales, northwest England and Ireland. The afternoon sees the last of the rain clearing from East Anglia. Heavy showers over western Scotland and Ireland, but for most places the afternoon is going to be dry with sunny spells. Highs at 16 to 22C.
Monday Night
An area of rain spreads to southwest England through this evening and then slips along southern coasts. A few showers in the far west of Scotland and western Ireland. For the rest of England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland it is probably going to be generally dry with some clear spells coming through. A cold night over northern England at 2C, warmer in the cloud to the south at 12C.
Tuesday
An area of rain spreading northwards through the country during today. The rain is going to be most persistent over northwest England and East Anglia with showers following from the southwest. Heavy showers affecting central and northern parts of Scotland, although the northern Isles should be dry although rather cloudy. Highs at 17 to 21C.
Wednesday
An unsettled day to come across the whole of the country with low pressure over southern parts of Ireland. This low slips eastwards, destabilising the atmosphere and bringing heavy showers to much of the country. The showers could be thundery at times over the hills of Wales and northern England as well as Ireland. Some torrential downpours in places. Thicker cloud and some rain over the far north of Scotland. Highs at a warm 25C over the Midlands and southern England, 14C in Scotland.
