Tuesday
Plenty of cloud around across England, Wales and Ireland this morning. This is going to extend an area of patchy rain northwards through the morning, this turning moderate in the southwest of the country. Dry for more northern parts of England and most of Scotland, although some showers affecting more western areas. The rain continues its northwards journey through this afternoon bringing some cloud and rain through Wales and Ireland as well as into the Midlands and eventually northern England. Drier weather follows to southern England and southern Wales, although with a few showers. Cloud and some showery rain continue over western Scotland, but eastern parts of Scotland and northeast England should be dry. Highs at 22C in southern England, 17C in western Scotland.
Tuesday Night
Showery periods of rain push through northern England this evening, some of it moderate on the hills, and then into Scotland through the early hours. Still some showery outbreaks affecting Wales and western England, whilst the Midlands and eastern parts of England should be staying dry. Lows near Lows at 9C in Scotland, 15C in southern England.
Wednesday
Low pressure takes control of the weather through Wednesday and will become centred over Ireland. Rain will be affecting Scotland once again through today, some of it heavy at times. Heavy showers will be following through England and Wales as well as Ireland. Further heavy showers and strong winds across England, Wales and Ireland through this afternoon and some of these may be thundery. Cloud and outbreaks of rain over Scotland, some of them heavy in places. Warm across parts of the Midlands at 24C, cooler in northern Scotland at 14C.
Thursday
Low pressure remains close by through Thursday. There will be further showers and these will be heavy at times through Scotland, these merging into longer spells of rain. A further area of rain spreading to Wales and southwest England and this may well be turning heavy on the hills. More northern and eastern parts of England should be dry with some broken cloud and sunny spells coming through. Highs at 17 to 23C.
