Unsettled and breezy Rain north & south seiten=4 abk=focus
Thursday
Cloud and rain across northern Scotland this morning, this heavy over the hills. The rain here will be fading slowly into this afternoon. For southern Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland the morning is going to bring many showers. There will be some sunny spells where the cloud breaks, especially later on. Into this afternoon the heavy showers continue for Ireland and southern Scotland, but still some rain in the north. Over much of England and Wales the showers will be fading away, but then thicker cloud and a further area of rain spread through southwest England and into southern Wales from mid afternoon. Highs at 12C in the wet northwest of Scotland, but to 22C in southeast England.
Thursday Night
An area of cloud and strong winds spreading through Wales and much of England this evening, the focus for this over more western parts of England and Wales where some of the rain is going to be heavy. Cloud and showers or longer spells of rain affect Scotland too. The heavier rain spreading through Northern Ireland, northern England and southern Scotland as the night progresses, with drier weather then moving into central and southern England and Wales later. Drier in northwest Scotland and temperatures down to 10 to 13C.
Friday
Rain for northern England and eastern Scotland at first this morning, but this should be easing by late morning. Sunshine and scattered showers for more central and southern areas of England, Wales and Ireland. Breezy for all with those winds to gale force over northern Scotland. The afternoon brings heavy showers through England Wales, but drier to the northern, although some rain in northwestern Scotland. Highs near 12 to 22C.
Saturday
A better day with sunny spells for most of the country. There will be a scattering of showers in the morning across Wales and the Midlands, as well as northern England and southern Scotland. The afternoon sees more sunny spells to come for most, although there will be an odd shower here and there with the highest risk on high ground. Tops of 15 to 24C.
