Monday
Cloud and some heavy spells of rain across Ireland this morning, these reaching the far west of Wales and western Scotland by lunchtime. Eastern parts of Scotland, Wales and all of England will be dry and muggy to start the day, the best of any sunshine in the southeast. It will be staying fair here through the day with more spells of warm sunshine and temperatures rising to a hot 28C. The rain i the west edges eastwards, turning heavy at times over southwest Scotland, northwest England and western Wales with mist lapping onto the coasts and fog settling on the hills here. Highs in the west at 20C.
Monday Night
The area of rain continues to push east through tonight, and although becoming light for a time as it passes into northeast England and the western Midlands together with southwest England, it is going to be rejuvenated as it passes into the eastern Midlands with a few heavier bursts developing later here. Drier weather follows through Scotland, Wales and western England as well as Ireland. Lows at a fresher 8C in Northern Ireland but still muggy at 14C in southeast England.
Tuesday
The threat of some hefty, showery bursts of rain over the eastern Midlands and central southern England on Tuesday morning. This area slips east through the afternoon, the rain becoming lighter as it does so.A mix of sunshine and scattered showers over Scotland, a few of them heavy and affecting northern England too. Scattered showers in Ireland, but some sunny spells, and one or two could make it onto the west coasts of Wales and Cornwall. Otherwise it should be a drier, fresher afternoon in the west with sunny spells. Tops at 25C in southeast England, 19C i Northern Ireland and western Scotland.
Wednesday
There is a chance of some rain developing across southeast England on Tuesday night and lasting into the early part of Wednesday morning. This fades soon after daybreak and then much of southern England should be dry. For the rest of England and Wales sunny spells in the morning are replaced by heavy showers, these turning thundery in places. Rather more cloud through Scotland and Ireland, although still with some showers and breezy here too. Highs around 23C in southeast England, 12C in northern Scotland.
