Rain for northern England Bright spells in south seiten=4 abk=focus
Tuesday
An area of rain crossing the north of the country through this morning. This is going to be affecting Ireland, Wales and northern England; most of it light but with some moderate bursts in the west. Mist and murk settling on the coasts and hills too. The area of rain tending to break up as it moves eastwards this afternoon, although maintaining a wet day across northern England. For more southern counties of England it is likely to be dry for much of the day although later this afternoon a few showers could form. For Ireland and Scotland There will be plenty of cloud but also a few sunny spells. Showers in more western parts of Scotland and these heavy at times. Highs at 16C in northern Scotland, a muggy 24C in southern England.
Tuesday Night
Residual rain clearing from northern England this evening, leaving most of the country dry. Cloud is going to be breaking with some good clear spells developing over much of England and Wales, as well as eastern Scotland. For western Scotland and the northwest of Northern Ireland there will be some thicker cloud moving in, this bringing periods of rain. Lows at 10 to 12C.
Wednesday
Increasing amounts of cloud across much of Scotland, northern England, Ireland and north Wales today. This will bring some spots of showery rain this morning, although they should fade through this afternoon. The best of any brightness and drier weather will be over southern parts of the country. The afternoon generally brighter and drier everywhere with highs at 16 to 23C.
Thursday
A ridge of high pressure is going to be building through the country today. This brings good spells of sunshine through the morning and these last into the afternoon across eastern areas. To the west cloud may start to increase later and that makes the sunshine hazy. Highs near 17 to 24C.
