Plenty of cloud Showery rain to northwest seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
A breezy start to the day across Scotland with rain affecting most of the country, this heavy at times on the hills. This should fade into the afternoon, although western coasts will always be prone to periods of rain; the winds easing later. For England, Wales and Ireland there will be rather a lot of cloud. The best of the sunshine across southeast England, with thicker cloud and some outbreaks of rain moving into north Wales and northwest England. These outbreaks of showery rain continue on and off through the afternoon in the northwest. A few showers for Northern Ireland and some showers on eastern coasts too. For most though it stays dry with the best sunshine transferring to the southwest. Highs of 16 to 22C.
Wednesday Night
Overnight there will be a fair amount of cloud around across almost all of the country. Northern coasts of Wales and northwest England could see some showers, as will eastern coasts of England. For most though the night is likely to be a dry one. Winds should be lighter with lows of 10 to 12C.
Thursday
A few showers affecting the coasts of East Anglia this morning. There could be an odd shower for eastern Scotland too, but on the whole the day is likely to be starting off dry with some sunny spells. It won't be long before cloud increases over western Ireland and western Scotland and this will be bringing in rain by the end of the afternoon. That rain could reach northern and western coasts of Wales too. Highs near 17 to 22C.
Friday
A wet and windy day ahead as a frontal systems crosses west to east over the country. This is going to be bringing some heavy periods of rain to the high ground of the Pennines, Wales and southwest England in the morning, then passing into the Midlands, eastern and southern England in the afternoon. The rain by then turning more patchy, although still some moderate bursts. Rain perhaps not reaching the far southeast until mid-afternoon and then not clearing until the early hours of the morning. Following will be fresher weather with a mix of sunshine and showers. Highs at 14 to 23C.
