Thursday
A fair amount of cloud across the British Isles and Ireland this morning. There will be breaks in the cloud and these will be allowing some bright or sunny spells to come through. A few showers here and there, most of them affecting eastern coasts of England, with one or two over the high ground of Wales. Little change through this afternoon with many areas dry again and some sunny spells coming through. Thicker cloud spreading to western parts of Ireland later on, and this could bring some drizzle onto western coasts. Highs will be near to 15 to 23C.

Thursday Night
Cloud is going to be breaking through the night with some clear spells coming through. It should be a dry night for all parts of the country, a few mist or fog patches forming in well sheltered areas by the morning. A chilly morning over Scotland and northern England at 6 to 7C, nearer 10 to 11C in the south and west of England and Wales.

Friday
Increasing cloud on Friday morning bringing rain through Ireland, western Scotland, western Wales and the west of England. The rain may be heavy at times on the hills and the winds will be increasing too. Across central and eastern areas it should start dry with sunny spells. Thicker cloud and rain spreads eastwards through the day with rain arriving in eastern England by the afternoon. Drier weather with a few showers following into Ireland and western Scotland in the afternoon. Highs near 15C in northern Scotland, 23C in southern England ahead of the rain.

Saturday
Cloud and rain may linger for a time across southeast England. This clearing away though to leave a rather cloudy airmass, the thickest of the cloud in more western areas. To the shelter of the hills some breaks in the cloud are likely to be appearing allowing a few sunny spells to come through. Thicker cloud and more rain over northern and central parts of Scotland, these tending to be showery in nature. Highs will be near 17 to 22C.
