Tuesday
A fine start to the morning across southeast England; plenty of sunshine here and it should be dry too. Thicker cloud to the west is associated with a narrow band of light rain which will be lying through northern England, Wales and southwest England. This is going to be edging slowly eastwards, although will be breaking up all the time and is going to become light and patchy. It is likely to be staying dry over much of central and eastern England throughout. Plenty of cloud for Scotland and Ireland with a few showers in the west. These showers continue into the afternoon, although an area of more persistent rain may reach western Ireland later. Highs at 23C in the sunshine over southeast England, 18C in western Scotland.

Tuesday Night
An area of cloud and rain spreads through Ireland this evening. The cloud and rain reaching southwest Wales and southwest England through the night. Rain may also drift into the northwest of England in the early hours. Western coasts of Scotland may be plagued by some low cloud and spots of rain, but eastern Scotland and eastern England should stay mainly dry. Lows near 11 to 14C.

Wednesday
Cloud and rain affects southern England this morning. This should be clearing slowly eastwards, with some sunny spells coming through in the west. However, it will not be long before showers form across England and Wales, these becoming heavy and possibly thundery at times over southern England. Sunshine and scattered showers for Ireland and Scotland too, although thicker cloud and some rain affecting northern Scotland. A breezy day in the west with highs of 15C in northern Scotland, 21C in southern England.

Thursday
Thursday brings heavy showers to Scotland. Those showers could be thundery at times. For much of northern England, Wales and Ireland there will be a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Most central and southern parts of the country will be drier with sunny spells and temperatures at 16 to 22C.
