Friday
A dry start to the morning over the east of the country, with some sunny intervals here too. Thicker cloud to the west is going to be bringing some outbreaks of rain and lots of mist and murk on coasts and hills too. Most of the rain will be light and patchy, although some moderate bursts could affect southern Wales, southwest England and the hills of northwest England and southern Scotland. This rain spreading east to be affecting all areas by early afternoon. As it does so drier weather arrives in the west, although still with plenty of cloud and a strengthening wind. Highs at 16 to 21C.
Friday Night
The main area of rain clearing most eastern areas this evening, although it may hold o through eastern Scotland until the early hours. Another area of showery rain could spread through southern counties of England, although confidence in this is low. For most the night will be a breezy one with a fair amount of cloud. Scattered showers are always likely in the west, especially on coasts and hills where they could be fairly heavy at times. Lows near 10 to 14C.
Saturday
Quite a chilly day for Saturday. Rather a cloudy start with the risk of some residual rain in the southeast. There will be some showers forming across England and Wales, although an area of more persistent showers will slip southwards through northern England and Wales in the morning. This area passing south through the afternoon. Behind the more persistent showers will be drier and brighter weather. This means that much of western Scotland, western coasts of England and Wales should be dry and bright, although cool Highs near 18 to 22C.
Sunday
A ridge of high pressure builds for Sunday bringing the promise of more settled conditions. There will be some showers around eastern parts of England, these generally light and scattered. Elsewhere the day is going to be a dry one with some good spells of sunshine. The best of the sunshine through more western areas. High cloud increasing through Northern Ireland later, making the sunshine hazy. Highs of a warm 26C in the southeast, 18C in northern Scotland.
