Early rain clearing east Cloudy overall seiten=4 abk=focus
Tuesday,
A cloudy and damp start to the morning across much of England, eastern Wales and Scotland. Most of the rain will be light with low cloud shrouding the hills. More western areas will be drier, although cloudy, with just a few spots of drizzle on high ground. The afternoon sees any residual rain clearing away from eastern coasts, and then all parts should be dry although with lots of cloud and only brief bright spells. The highest chance of seeing some sunshine in the west. Highs at 22C over central England, 16C in northern Scotland.
Tuesday Night
A cloudy but largely dry end to the day over most of the country. This cloud is going to be breaking through the early part of the night, especially over central and eastern areas. It is then going to be staying dry through the night with plenty of cloud, this thick enough to bring a few showers to the far southwest of England and western Scotland. Lows at 10 to 14C.
Wednesday
Showers for northeastern Scotland, some of them heavy here; windy too. Showers spreading to western Scotland and Northern Ireland, these merging to longer spells of rain at times later. For much of England and Wales it should be dry with variable cloud, the best chance of any sunshine to the east. A few showers affecting western facing coasts and slopes with temperatures at 18 to 22C.
Thursday
A ridge if high pressure building through Thursday bringing a fair day for most of England and Wales. There will be some good spells of sunshine, although this is likely to be rather hazy. Some showers for western and northwestern parts of Scotland with temperatures at 18 to 23C.
