Tuesday
For East Anglia, south east and north east England it's a fine dry and sunny morning. Here just a few showers may penetrate in the afternoon on a strong westerly wind. Across the rest of Britain showers develop through the morning and in the afternoon some of these may be heavy but will be interspersed with sunny spells. The north of Scotland may see more persistent rain. Highs of 15 to 19C and feeling chilly in the wind.

Tuesday Night
Any showers will tend to fade this evening with just a few around some western coasts. Some early sunshine to come for many areas as the cloud disperses. Overnight mot of Britain will be dry with clear spells though cloud thickens up across Cornwall. Expect lows of 8 to 12C.

Wednesday
Outbreaks of rain spread in across the south west of England this morning with the remainder fine and dry with sunny spells though showers will affect the north of Scotland. It becomes windier in the south west as the rain turns heavy and sweeps into Wales and all of England in the afternoon. All parts of the country will have a wet night and windy too with gales developing in the south west and into the channel. Expect highs of 16 to 20C.

Thursday
A very wet and windy day is expected across the United Kingdom with gale to severe gales in the west and the south with gust over 60mph. Heavy rain too to come, this moves in across Scotland today with heavy showers following across England and Wales. More heavy rain to come across Scotland and northern England this evening but this turns lighter during the night. Expect highs of 16 to 19C.
