Wednesday
The unsettled weather continues across all part of the country today. Cloud and outbreaks of rain are going to be affecting southern areas, most of the rain across western parts of Wales. Only light spots of rain elsewhere, mainly through central areas. Northern Ireland will become increasingly cloudy with some spots of rain at times, whilst Scotland should be dry overall. There will be some sunshine for the east of Scotland, but dull over all other areas. A windy day again with gales through southern Ireland and southwest England. Highs of 7C in northern Scotland, 15C in southern England.

Wednesday Night
A windy night across much of southern England, Wales and Ireland with the winds to severe gale force in places. An area of heavy rain will be spreading across Ireland and into the south of Scotland as well as northwest England. Cloud is going to be shrouding the hill tops here too. Over more southern areas, although it will be cloudy, there should be some breaks in the cloud allowing some clearer spells to break through. Northern Scotland is likely to be dry too with lighter winds here. Lows at 3C in mid-Scotland, 13C in southern England.

Thursday
Staying windy through Thursday in the south of the country, those winds to gale force at times here. There will be heavy periods of rain across northwestern England, Ireland, southern Scotland, and then later in the day to rain sinks south through Wales. More southern parts of England should be drier with rather a lot of cloud, but a few brighter spells to the southeast. Showers affecting central and southern Scotland later, but some more persistent rain moving into the far north. Highs of 7C in northern Scotland, 15C in southern England.

Friday
Friday starts dry and breezy across the south, but through the morning an area of more persistent rain will be spreading to Ireland, this then extending through Wales, the Midlands and northern England in the afternoon. Some spots of drizzle to the southeast too. Across Scotland conditions are going to be drier and rather cloudy here, but the risk of some showers in the far north. Highs of 8C in Scotland, 15C in southern England.
