Friday
A windy day across Britain but these moderate somewhat in the afternoon. Mostly a dry, bright morning across Britain with sunny spells but rain and drizzle will push into the West Country this morning. This rain and drizzle turns heavier in the afternoon as it spreads into Wales and the southern half of England. Mainly a dry day to come to the north with sunny spells. Expect highs of 10 to 16C.

Friday Night
A wet and windy evening for England and Wales and this clears all but northern England tonight. Apart from a few coastal showers the rest of Britain will be dry with clear spells. A cold night in the north with a frost. Lows of 5 to 8C in the south, 1 to -2C in the north.

Saturday
A band of rain across southern England clears by the afternoon. A number of showers will affect Scotland and western parts of the United Kingdom and much of Wales. Scattered showers will affect western and eastern coasts of England and Scotland through this evening and tonight. Inland areas will be dry, clear and cold with a risk of a frost with lows inland of 3 to -2C with daytime highs of 8 to 11C.

Sunday
Apart from a few showers around western and eastern coasts, it's a dry morning with sunny spells. In the afternoon rain moves into Northern Ireland and the far west of mainland Britain with showers around North Sea coasts. Central areas will stay dry with sunny spells. In the evening and night strong gales develop in the west with a risk of some damaging gusts to 70 mph around exposed coasts. Eastern parts of Scotland may stay dry but the rest of Britain will have spells of heavy rain. Highs of 5 to 10C.
