Fine for Sunday Wet & windy Monday seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
A chilly morning to come over all parts of the country. There will be some showers over southeast England at first, these tending to fade by late morning. For most the morning is going to be a fine and sunny one. It is going to be dry in all places with only light winds. The afternoon sees little change with most of the country remaining fine and dry throughout. Good spells of sunshine and feeling cooler than recently. Still a few showers left affecting the east of Kent. Cloud increases through western Scotland and western Ireland later as the winds increase here too. Highs of 5 to 12C

Sunday Night
Cloud, wind and rain spreading quickly into Ireland and western parts of the British Isles this evening. The winds will be to gale force and the rain will turn quickly to snow across the hills of Scotland, northern England and Wales. Blizzards could continue over this hills throughout the night as the rain becomes slow moving over western parts of the country. The heaviest of the rain through Wales, Ireland and southwest England. Further east it will become windy and increasingly cloud, but is likely to be dry. The winds gusts to 70mph on western coasts, and gales widespread elsewhere.

Monday
Monday sees the area of rain 'arc' through Ireland, Wales, southern England and the Midlands. This is going to be heavy at times and could lead to some localised flooding. Through Scotland snow and rain will be fading away to leave the day cold and windy, with a few showers in the east but dry to the west. It is going to be a bitterly cold day everywhere with temperatures not rising much above 6C in the Midlands, perhaps to 10C in western Scotland with the winds to gale force at first, but easing through the day.

Tuesday
It may still be raining across the southern half of England through Tuesday. The winds will be strong once again and it is going to be feeling very cold. That rain should eventually ease off through the afternoon, although it stays breezy and largely cloudy. Showers affecting the eastern coasts of Scotland and northeast England, but more western areas should be drier with some sunny spells. Highs at 5C in the Midlands, 9C in western Scotland.
