Thursday
A cloudy and breezy start to Thursday morning, with a band of showery rain extending from Northern Ireland, through Wales and western England. To the east conditions will be drier with a few bright spells, although some wintry showers may affect eastern Scotland. The afternoon sees the showers affecting southwest Scotland and northwest England again, with just a scattering of showers elsewhere. Some brighter spells may break through the cloud in southern England. Highs at 7C in northern Scotland, 11C in southwest England.

Thursday Night
A mixed night of weather across the UK and Ireland. It stays windy in the northwest of Scotland with some showery outbreaks of rain here. Further showers outbreaks of rain affect eastern coasts of England, and some showers moving into southwest Wales and southwest England too. For the rest of the country the night should be fair and dry with some clearer skies. Lows will be near 2C in central Scotland, 7C in southwest England.

Friday
A welcome fair start to the morning on Friday. There will be some sunny spells for most of us, the best over eastern parts of England and Scotland. Some showers may affect the far west of Scotland and southern coasts of England but for most it should be dry. The afternoon is likely to be remaining dry too with more sunshine for most of the country. Once again a few showers could affect coasts in the south and west, but generally it should be a dry day. Highs of a milder 8 to 12C.

Saturday
A cloudy and breezy day to come across southern parts of England. Here there will be some light outbreaks of rain through the morning, a few of them lasting on and off into the afternoon. Some cloud and patchy rain along eastern coasts of England and Scotland too. The best of the dry weather and sunny spells will be further west, with western parts of Wales and western Scotland seeing the best of the conditions. Tops of 7 to 12C.
