Sunday
Outbreaks of heavy snow are expected across eastern and southern parts of Scotland this morning and in the afternoon this will remain heavy across north east Scotland. A very cold and frosty start across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. More cloud in the south in the morning will give some light outbreaks of snow while snow showers will affect North Sea coasts. In the afternoon some light snow is also likely across south west England. Some sunshine to come across central England today. Expect highs of 0 to 4C.

Sunday Night
Through the evening there remains the risk of heavy snow across eastern parts of Scotland and overnight this may push further into Scotland. Some snow or snow showers will also affect north east England. The rest of England and Wales will be dry with a widespread and hard frost. Lows falling to -2 to -8C.

Monday
A stiff north east wind brings lots of cloud into eastern and into some central parts of Britain along with a number of snow showers. Across the The West Country and Wales, central England and western Scotland it should be dry with the best of the sunshine. There is a risk of snow in the north spreading south through the evening and night. Highs of 0 to 3C and feeling well below freezing in the wind.

Tuesday
Very windy and feeling bitterly cold and there is a risk of snow across Wales and the southern half of England which may be heavy. Snow showers will affect eastern Britain with sunny spells for north west England and western Scotland. Lots of snow showers will affect western and eastern coasts with a hard frost inland tonight. Highs of -1 to 2C.
