Friday
A very windy day to come through much of England, Wales and Ireland. There will be lots of cloud and an area of heavy rain affecting Ireland and northern England as well as northwest Wales. Western and southern coasts of England will have some drizzle,l although most places in more central and eastern areas will be dry but cloudy. The rain turning to snow over Scotland, some of it heavy, although becoming more showers from the north with much lighter winds here too. Into this afternoon it stays very windy in England, Wales and Ireland with severe gales and gusts in excess of 80mph on the hills and coasts in the west and south. Heavier rain through central Ireland and northern England, with more drizzle on west and south coasts of Wales and England, whilst central and eastern areas have cloud and a few spots of drizzle. Drier weather following to northern Scotland as the rain and snow fades here. Highs at 3C in northern Scotland, 11C in southern England.

Friday Night
More heavy rain to come tonight across Ireland and northern England. A risk of localised flooding across parts of northwest England and north Wales as the rain continues throughout. Staying very windy to the south with drizzle on western and southern coasts and gusts to 80mph once again. Showers affecting northern and western Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. The showers heavy at times, but turning to snow over the hills of central and western Scotland. Lows near 2C in northern Scotland, 9C in southern England.

Saturday
Heavy rain through northwest England, north Wales and southern Ireland. Cloud and some periods of rain cross central and southern parts of England and Wales, remaining windy here too wind gales or severe gales on the coasts. Brighter weather for eastern Scotland and northeast England. Snow showers for western Scotland with some of these heavy. Very little change for many during the day with temperatures rising to a very mild 13C in southeast England, 4C in northern Scotland.

Sunday
The rain becoming focused through Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia on Sunday, this area of rain edging north through the day. Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are likely to be drier with broken cloud, although showers are going to be affecting the western coasts of Scotland. More southern coasts of England will be staying breezy, although the winds not as strong as through the weekend. Highs at 4C in northern Scotland, 12C in southern England.
