Tuesday
Some patchy mist and a cold, frosty start to the morning across Britain. This will clear and for much of the United Kingdom it will be a fine, dry day to come with some good sunny spells. Thickening cloud in the south west will spread some patchy light bits of rain into Cornwall in the afternoon. Look for highs of 4 to 10C north to south.

Tuesday Night
This evening it becomes quite windy in the west as rain in the south west of England spread into Wales, Northern Ireland and north west England. Overnight this rain turns heavier and spreads into all but East Anglia and the south east of England. Quite windy and a much milder night to come. Expect lows of 5 to 7C.

Wednesday
Quite a windy and cloudy day for much of Britain though we may see some breaks giving a few sunnier spells in the south east and east of the Pennines. There will be rain across Northern Ireland and Scotland, some of it heavy though it appears to clear southern Scotland in the afternoon. Expect gales across Scotland tonight with an area of rain from Scotland down into northern England, Northern Ireland, Wales and south west England. High temperatures of 8 to 12C.

Thursday
A breezy mild day to come. An area of rain is expected in the channel and may linger around the channel coasts for much of the day. The bulk of Britain should be fair and dry with sunnier spells and some cloud. In the evening rain is forecast across south west England and overnight this is expected to spread into all of England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Highs of 6 to 11C.
