Showers are expected across south west England this morning but dry across Scotland. A wet morning for England and Wales with heavy spells of rain. In the afternoon the rain lingers across much of England and Wales as it spreads north into Scotland and Northern Ireland. Showers will affect the far south of England so brighter here. Look for highs of 5 to 10C north to south.
Tuesday Night
Through the evening the rain clears from central and southern England then from northern England in the night. Wet tonight across Scotland with heavy outbreaks of rain with a risk of heavy snow over the Highlands. Expect lows of -1 to 4C.
Wednesday
Some snow to come for a time across northern Scotland. Some rain across south west England will push up into Wales this afternoon. The bulk of the country looks fair and dry with sunny spells and variable cloudiness. Western parts of Britain will be cloudy into the evening and night with some light rain. Expect high temperatures of 5 to 9C.
Thursday
A lot of cloud across the country today. Dry across East Anglia and central and southern parts of England. Elsewhere expect some sporadic outbreaks of patchy light rain here and there. A few sunnier spells may develop in the south later. It turns colder tonight with a risk of snow across Scotland and still some rain across England and Wales. Highs of 5 to 9C.
